We’re extremely proud to announce that the Centre for Community Transformation Group of Ministries (CCT) has selected Musoni as its new core banking platform, placing our award-winning solution at the heart of their digitalisation strategy. Musoni is now used across 19 countries and available in French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Myanmar and Mandarin.
Founded in 1991, CCT is a Christian organization that provides wholistic programs and services among the marginalized sectors including micro-entrepreneurs, street families, needy children and youth, tribespeople, factory and informal service workers, farmers, fisherfolk, disaster survivors, and the communities-at-large. Anchored on Biblical foundations, its approach to development is wholistic, integrated, family focussed, poverty-sector specific, community based, transformational, and sustainable.
CCT, through the CCT Multipurpose Cooperative, now offers a selection of loan, savings and share products, providing vital financial and community development services to over 100,000 low-income Filipinos. CCT operates across 165 branches in 15 regions, 63 cities, 40 provinces, and 67 municipalities in the Philippines.
CCT selected Musoni as their digitalisation partner due to the user-friendliness of the system and the advanced digitalisation functionality provided as standard alongside the core banking system (including the Musoni SMS module and Digital Field Application). Operating across 3 islands, moving to a cloud banking system also brings benefits, increasing visibility across daily operations, while also reducing infrastructure costs.
Speaking about the selection process, Jinjin Abella, project lead for CCT digitalisation project, highlighted one key feature they especially liked in Musoni, saying that “An integral part of the business processes of the cooperative is the handling of the members preferred and common shares. Most core banking systems we evaluated did not have this functionality. The Shares Module of Musoni was one of the primary reasons for the cooperative to select Musoni over the other core banking systems. The Musoni team was also very helpful and responsive to our queries which made the selection process a very pleasant experience for the vendor assessment team.“
