Change to the Musoni Services leadership team

After a period of over 10 years building Musoni Services from scratch, Cameron Goldie-Scot, co-founder and CEO, has decided to leave the company to pursue a new career challenge in the UK.

Musoni Services spun-off from Musoni BV in 2013 with the aim of becoming an independent SaaS-platform scaling-up the distribution of the core banking software for fully digital microfinance organisations developed by Musoni BV.

Spinning the software arm off enabled large groups of organisations around the world to benefit from this pioneering concept that was first launched in Kenya in 2009. During Cameron’s tenure, Musoni Services has grown to licence its software to over 67 financial organisations across 21 countries, collectively serving over 1.6 million end customers. Musoni is recognised as one of the leading SaaS banking platforms for microfinance and is used by many of the largest global microfinance networks, including VisionFund, Gojo and Hope International. The company has strong institutional investors, including Goodwell and Alterfin. After recording a strong 2021, the company is well positioned to continue its rapid expansion.

Musoni was founded in 2013 by Cameron as CEO, Sander van der Heyden as CTO and Andrew Taylor as CFO. Martijn Deddens joined the management team in 2018 as Head of Product. Moving forward, Cameron’s responsibilities will be split between the members of the existing management. Sander van der Heijden will be taking up the role of Interim CEO while Musoni recruits a new Global Head of Sales and a new CEO to prepare the Management Team for the next growth stage of the company.

Els Boerhof, Chair of Musoni’s Supervisory Board, said “I would like to thank Cameron for his commitment and dedication to growing Musoni into a leading cloud banking platform for microfinance. As part of the founding team his drive and vision were key to getting where we are today: serving a large group of organisations around the world with a modern and affordable platform. The benefits of the platform ultimately land with the microfinance clients, who can be reached easier, more efficiently and at lower cost. On behalf of everyone at Musoni, I wish Cameron every success in the next stage of his career.”
